Looking up at the ceiling, you can see it’s caved in a bit - so move around until you can wall jump up into the attic space. You can also head upstairs to find a Light Coin Purse - but keep looking upwards into the rafters to find another level to grapple to where a short wall is. Look at the rear of the building for a Pellet, the door back to the earlier courtyard full of enemies, and an old woman with a candle whose surprised you killed Gyoubu. Before leaving, there’s a few things left to do. In fact, these enemies are the miniature Senpou Assassins you’ve seen a few times before, the gremlin-looking guys with the large hats, and they are somewhere nearby. Be sure to accept his request, and you’ll get the Rat Description - which clues you into the enemies you’ll be hunting. He is the Tengu of Ashina, and after being impressed by your stoicism, he’ll ask you to hunt “rats” with him. Inside the tower, you’ll come to a very deadly looking character, but he won’t attack you. The Battlefield Memorial Mob merchant has different wares than his counterpart - including a Dragon’s Blood Droplet and a Gourd Seed! Bypass the tower for a moment to find more stairs around the corner where you can find a Ceramic Shard and another Memorial Mob. It leads to several dead shinobi and a large tower. However, before opening the Castle Gate next to the Sculptor’s Idol, look for the long stairway at the other end of the battlefield. Open the chest at the top to claim your Prayer Bead.Jump and climb up onto the broken rafter.Follow the rafters around to the left until you get to the middle of the room.Follow the balcony around to the right, and climb the wall.Head into the building where you speak to Tengu of Ashina - the guy that asks you to hunt “rats” for him.Climb the stairs on the right side of the arena where you fought Gyoubu Oniwa. With the defeat of Gyoubu the Demon, the path through the castle gate is now within reach. Defeat Shigekichi of the Red Guard (Ashina Outskirts > Under-Bridge Valley Sculptor’s Idol).Much later in the game, after you defeat the Divine Dragon, there’s one more Prayer Bead to collect. This fight is very similar to (basically a reskin of) Juzou the Drunkard. There are three Prayer Beads in Hirata Estate. Two come from bosses, and one is in a hidden room. Defeat Shinobi Hunter Enshin of Misen (Hirata Estate > Estate Path Sculptor’s Idol).Defeat Juzou the Drunkard (Hirata Estate > Main Hall Sculptor’s Idol).Start at the Hirata Estate > Hirata Audience Chamber Sculptor’s Idol - the idol right before you fight Lady Butterfly.Turn around, and head back down the hallway toward where you fought Juzou the Drunkard. If you haven’t yet, smash through the paper walls blocking the hallway.Handle the two guards patrolling on the other side. Turn right and head to the end of the hall.Look for the tapestry hanging on the wall.Hug the wall right over the tapestry to find a secret door. Collect the items in the first room, then head to the left.Smash your way through the screens to find a chest containing the Prayer Bead.Hirata Estate Prayer Beads – Purification Ending (Father’s Bell Charm) There are two more Prayer Beads in Hirata Estate, but you can only find them if you follow the Purification ending (at least far enough to receive the Father’s Bell Charm). They’re both rewards for defeating bosses. Defeat Lone Shadow Masanaga the Spear-Bearer (Hirata Estate > Bamboo Thicket Slope Sculptor’s Idol).Defeat Juzou the Drunkard (again) (Hirata Estate > Main Hall Sculptor’s Idol).Defeat General Kuranosuke Matsumoto (Ashina Castle > Ashina Castle Sculptor’s Idol).General Matsumoto is the mini-boss at the top of the stairs right after the Ashina Castle Sculptor’s Idol. Defeat Ashina Elite – Jinsuke Saze (Ashina Castle > Upper Tower – Ashina Dojo Sculptor’s Idol).Defeat Lone Shadow Longswordsman (Ashina Castle > Ashina Reservoir Sculptor’s Idol).Defeat Seven Ashina Spears – Shikibu Toshikatsu Yamauchi (Ashina Castle > Ashina Reservoir Sculptor’s Idol).Dungeon Memorial Mob (Ashina Castle > Abandoned Dungeon Entrance Sculptor’s Idol).
